Happy forth everyone! (I know that its still technically the third, but I can hear fireworks, so I’m calling an early start to the 4th.) I am currently on day two of my three day weekend, which has been far from relaxing thus far. So, I hope that everyone is having a better weekend than me! There’s always tomorrow- literally!
If you’re into dressing and theming for all holidays down to the tiniest details like I am, then this post is definitely for you. As some of you know, I have been on quite the health kick lately- trying to lost weight, live a healthier lifestyle, etc. etc.
That being said, instead of making the patriotic s’mores dip and the red and blue jello shots that I wanted to make, I decided to take the healthier route.
I give you- Patriotic Protein.
Its so cute and so simple. All you need is:
- Greek Yogurt (I prefer Vanilla)
- Sliced Strawberries
- (optional) Granola
Literally, just layer all of the ingredients in a mason jar (or any see-through container for that matter) and top with the granola- Cute, simple, and themed to the holiday at hand. My three favorite things!
Tomorrow, for the final day of my three day weekend, I think that we are going out on our fishing boat early in the morning, and then we will have to see what the rest of the day holds! I have never been too fond of fireworks, but I may give them another try this year- although the last 22 years of attempts of overcoming my fear have been pretty unsuccessful.
